Effective natural remedies for freckles

Freckles are flat or circular spots formed due to the concentration of melanin of the skin surface especially to people with much fairer complexion. They appear in many colors from red, light brown, and brown to black. These numerous sports may be formed on the cheeks, nose, shoulders, arms, forehead or chest.


The freckles are formed on exposure to sunlight as a result of clumping of the melanin pigment when exposed to long and regular sunshine duration. The sports are not a sign of any deficiency or illness and are not harmful. However, they are not appealing to look majorly when they are exposed in the neck or face regions. In some cases, they fade away in winter but reappear in sunshine exposure during summers. One should hence take proper care when in areas with long durations of sunshine. Moreover, there are simple and effective natural remedies that help in getting rid of the freckles.


Garlic
Wonder spice garlic is effective in clearing off freckles in the sun. Chop a thin slice of a clove of garlic and apply over the freckles over the night. Wash off the garlic in the morning and apply during the day whenever possible and wash off after 6 hours. Continuous application of garlic will clear the freckles after three to four days.



Aloe Vera and Tea Tree Oil
Applying Aloe Vera or tea tree oil twice a day is effective in treating the sports. Put a few drops of oil and massage it over the sports in the skin. Aloe Vera gel from a fresh leaf can also be used for better results.

Food rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin C
Vitamin A and C is proven to protect the skin against sun rays. Foods like lime juice, cucumber, apricot and lemon juice can be advisable to be included in the diet regularly. Also, buttermilk can also be used for freckle spots using a cotton ball as a facial for the freckled skin. Antioxidant-rich foods can also be incorporated in every meal like broccoli, cabbage, sprouts and carrots to help the body gain inner defensive strength against infections.

Regular use of the above helping agents keeps the skin healthy and nourished. Using a lot of junk, processed, caffeine, tobacco, and sugary foods is not advisable as they tend to have to reduce the skin defense mechanism.
