Home made beauty products

Beauty products are varied and can range from moisturizers, face masks, treatment for hair, nail strengtheners and many others. Generally, people spend a lot of money buying industrially formulated beauty product even though most of them are made from materials available naturally, that we have in our homes.
There are very many beauty products one can use depending on the part of the body you would like to tone; some of the common ones include the following;

Ripe pawpaw/ papaya fruit
Pawpaw is great beauty product for facials because it contains enzymes known to repair sun damage, exfoliate skin and help diminish spots; cut a slice of the fruit and remove the seeds and keep the pulp for eating, then use the inside of the peel to rub on the face, around eyes, mouth and the temple area. Let is dry for about 20 minutes then rinse off with warm water.

Steaming
Steaming is commonly used to in place of other beauty products. The steam helps remove grime and bacteria in the pores of the skin. To steam at home, simply add hot water into a large bowl then lower your face towards the container such that the steam spreads all over your face for a few minutes. Use a cloth or towel over the head to trap the steam.

Honey and avocado mixture
This mixture is used to invigorate and revitalize damaged hair; simply take one medium sized ripe avocado and mash together with two tablespoons of honey and massage into the hair. Let the beauty product stay on the hair for about half an hour then wash normally.

Vegetable oil
Vegetable oil can be used as a beauty product to straighten nails; use 2 teaspoons each of salt and castor oil and 1 teaspoon of wheat germ oil. Mix all the ingredients in a sealable container and shake well before use and apply on the nails let it stay for about five minutes before wipe off with a cotton pad.

Baby oil and brown sugar
This home beauty product is used for softening hands; simply mix half cup of brown sugar with baby oil to form a paste and use the hand washing motion to apply the paste onto the hands for a bout one minute then rinse off with warm water and pat the hands dry.

Foot spa

To use this beauty product, fill a wide container or tub with warm water to ankle height and add Epsom salt into the solution and a few drops essential oil of your choice and soak the feet for about 15 minutes then pat dry and apply a moisturizer. This beauty product tones the foot and softens the skin.
